About Clover on Court

Tucked into the heart of Gadsden's historic Court Street District, Clover on Court — formerly known as Harp and Clover — is one of the most celebrated dining destinations in downtown Gadsden. With over 1,150 reviews and a 4.6-star average, this Irish-themed pub has clearly found a loyal and enthusiastic following.

The setting is genuinely beautiful: a warm Irish pub interior paired with a gorgeous outdoor patio that makes it one of the most atmospheric spots in town. The menu goes well beyond typical pub fare. Yes, there are Shepherd's Pie, Bangers & Mash, and Irish-inspired appetizers like Banger Bites and Reuben Eggrolls — but there are also expertly prepared steaks, fresh seafood, and chef specials that leave guests raving. One guest described a chef's special as "the best meal I've ever eaten" — a steak topped with mushrooms, shrimp, crawfish, and a creamy sauce over loaded mashed potatoes.

The kitchen also features dishes influenced by New Orleans' Pontchartrain tradition — the blackened mahi over mashed potatoes and the Pontchartrain sauce are singled out by regulars as standout favorites. The Boursin mashed potatoes deserve a special mention: they appear in nearly every positive review and have achieved a near-legendary status among regulars.

Live music, great cocktails, attentive service, and a pet-friendly patio complete the picture. Whether you're stopping in for a weekday lunch, a weekend dinner, or Sunday brunch starting at 10 AM, Clover on Court consistently delivers.

First time here. They are a pet-friendly restaurant with outdoor seating for you and your dog. I ordered a chef special and honestly it was the best meal I've ever eaten. It was a perfectly medium cooked steak with mushrooms, shrimp, crawfish, and other things in a delicious creamy sauce over loaded mashed potatoes. Even now thinking about it my mouth is watering. The bread pudding dessert was amazing, and a coconut margarita was perfect. This place deserves 100 stars, not just 5.

VERY COOL PLACE — stopped in for our first visit and very glad we did! Had the shepherd's pie filled with AWESOME Boursin mashed potatoes — perfection in a bowl. Also had a double burger made with REAL MEAT, not some frozen pre-made patty! Fries were on point, very attentive waitstaff. We'll definitely return — just made our 2nd trip and had bangers & mash. The Conecuh sausage and gravy are top notch. Shepherd's pie huge beef chunks and great flavor!

This place has everything — great food, great service. We love that they have some of the dishes from Nola's on 2nd. The Pontchartrain sauce is by far my favorite. But the blackened mahi over mashed potatoes with the house salad is a very close second. I would highly recommend eating here.

A busy place on a Saturday — love the cajun theme for Mardi Gras this weekend too. Lively atmosphere, great food, and solid service. Street parking can be a bit tricky when it's busy, but well worth the effort.
